One of the most famous and popular seaside resorts in England, Brighton is an important city with a population of around 250,000. Located on the southeastern coast of England, Brighton is located in East Sussex and can be reached from London by train in just one hour.

Brighton features an impressive train station, which has been recently restored and offers a glimpse of the seafront along the bottom of West Street. To the east of this part of Brighton you will find The Lanes, known for its colourful cottages, shops and eateries. Nearby, Brighton's famous Royal Pavilion dominates much of the area and features eye-catching Indian-style architecture.

The Palace Pier stands just a short distance from the pavilion and offers a selection of typical seaside amusements and fairground rides. To the east, Brighton's Kemp Town is a particularly trendy area, featuring an array of shops, bars and restaurants. As you head along Brighton's coast in a westerly direction, you will reach the upmarket area of Hove, which tends to offer a more relaxed pace of life.
